New management members - autumn 06
The management is growing! We are incredibly happy to have a bunch of new Oygospel-enthusiasts join the management! Every one of them have been involved with something during earlier festivals, and now they will get both hands full. There's a lot that needs to be done to arrange a music festivals, so more people to do it is just great!
And new management members needs to be introduced with pictures too. We've looked through our archives, and managed to dig up photos of the new people in action during earlier arrangements.
Cathrine Udland has proved her skills as a photographer. She's borrowed our camera on numerous occasions during earlier festivals, resulting in a lot of great pictures. And since we need some more people in the information group we, as well as Cathrine, thought it would be great to put her on this job together with Magne. She's not just going to take photos, she'll also help run the website, talk to the press, handle flyers and posters as well as everything else involved in the job as information manager.
Gro-Anita Martinsen just couldn't stay away from the management much longer. She was one of the catering managers up to 2004, when she retired from the management. But she's not been completely away from the festival by any means. She's volunteered for a variety of tasks, here you see her as a guard during a concert last year. When her old job suddenly was available and she saw the opportunity, she was not late to accept when we asked her to rejoin.
Ingrid Klovning has also been in action during earlier festivals. Amongst other things she did a great effort in the pizza-kiosk during the Petra-concert, happy and smiling too, as the photo shows. Anstein needed a little help with all the practical things he needs to take care of, and Ingrid wanted to participate. It's just a lot to stay in conrol of, so it is definately an advantage to be two in this group. After all they're doing all the work the rest of us don't bother to do...
Silje Richardsen has also been in the management earlier, up to 2004. When she heard we had asked Gro-Anita she wanted to rejoin too. They're sisters and made a great team the last time they was in the management. And we're very happy to hae both of them back. Silje picks up her old job as cataering manager, a field where there's definately a need for a few people. So don't dispair, you will definately be able to get somethng to eat during Oygospel 2007 too!
Tom Helge Tollefsrud has put his mark on the festival the last few years, so it was just about time to get him into the management. We maybe remember him the most for his fantastic dance in the Oygospel Movie 2005, but he's done a lot of other things too. He's spent countless hours in the kiosk, been a first-aid guard (why do people have to put their earplugs so deep in??? quote from Dr Tom) and he's been drawing the winners of the bazar too. Tom Helge is a guy with lots of ideas, and because we want to focus on varied activities in the future, he jumps into the activity and estethics group together with Rune. It is guaranteed to be a great outcome of this!
Last, but not least, Endre Samuelsen has been partly on leave for a year, but is now back for full. He's been unable to attend the management meetings the last year. But luckily for the rest of us he's always showed up when we needed someone with total control on sound and light, on the Petra-concert as well as this year's festival. To wire up a giant sound system, a hefty light rig and put together a stage is just what he does best. And we also suspect that he loves to do this job as well. What would we do without Endre?
A wery warm welcome to all the new management members! We're incredibly happy that you want to make an effort to get yet another Oygospel-festival rolling!!!
