Rocked-up Friday meeting
What a splendid second day at Oygospel! People kept streaming in, and there were more than 350 people on the meeting! We started with one more great movie from Karl Ivar. In the Oygospel Movie part two we learned that the needed money will be taken from the Quart budget. Hallelujah for that, we say! The money cheque is collected and handed over to someone supposed to keep it safe. But he runs away with it. How will this end? Find out at the Saturday meeting ;)
After this "fantasy-series", Salem Dramateam went on stage and took us all by surprise when they showed us how they believed a meeting in 1805 would be, or they actually knew how it would've been. The audience loved this performance, and almost fell off their chairs because they laughed so hard.
Then we got the sad news that the Oya Cup will be cancelled because not many teams had signed up. When the initial shock had passed, Laidback Society, earlier known as Nameless, went on stage to cheer people up. To say the least, they did just that with style! They presented a collection of their self-made hits-to-be. We're certain that they have a bright carreer in front of them!
Afterwards it was time for praise-singing, quite a few had been waiting for this. Again the Salem Praise Team took care of that, if possible even better than yesterday. And the audience loved it as they were singing along!
Kjell Audun Loekslid from the Roadservice-team took care of the speech. He compared the life as a Christian as beeing on "a soccer team vs the devil". We know this was very interesting to a large part of the audience. Afterwards the praise team invited to prayer while we all were singing. A nice way to end a meeting!
