Meeting at Friday
Because of a certain soccer game no more than 250 people showed up at the meeting. But in return they got a nice experience! After a quick movie-report from the day before it was time for Convoy to enter the stage. They are regular guests at Oygospel and never let us down, tonight was no exception. Powerful and joyful singing was what they had to offer!
Then it was time for the Oygospel Award. This year's winners are Berit and Jan Erik Tallaksen, and this is very well deserved. Every Friday they open up their home for youths, and by doing this they make a remarkable effort for the youth! It's not unusual if more than 50 young people show up in their home during a normal Friday evening!
Ton Angelon was the next choir to sing, they travelled all the way from Karmoy to take part in the festival. And they are very skilled! Unfortunately they had some trouble with a bus on the journey, so they had to go directly on the stage without a soundcheck. But they handled it with no problems at all! The prize this year is 10 crates of soda and a beautiful picture.
The speech for the evening was by Andreas Hegertun. He's got an ability to capture the attention of the audience. He talked about David, and managed to transfer the stories so you could recognize yourself in them. After the speech everyone was invited to prayer while the praise team was singing.
