John and Bob - back at last!

This is an evening we will remember for a long time! 300 people got to experience this great concert. Many came rather early, to be sure to get a seat near the stage. And they weren't disappointed!

John and Bob entered the stage accompanied by heavy applause, and introduced themselves with a smile on their lips. Then they started off with an acoustic version of "Dance". Who says you need electric guitar and drums to play rock? Bob makes it swing like anything with just an acoustic guitar, and with John's recognizable voice it doesn't feel like anything is missing either.

They continued to feed us old and new Petra-classics, one after another, with a little new material in between. There was at least a couple songs I can't remember having heard before. And the variety was great! We got to hear the powerful "Creed", good hits like "Jekyll & Hyde", "Beyond Belief" and "It Is Finished", and more calm classics like "Not Of This World" and "Why Should The Father Bother". Just to mention a few. They also served a healthy doze of Petra's praise songs, that have been familiar in Norwegian churces and ministries for a long time. "Lord I Lift Your Name On High" and "Show Your Power" are worth mentioning.

But as you might know, this was an acoustic, intimate concert. That means a little more than just music. Both John og Bob shared strong testimonies about their own lives. John's story about how he met Jesus is an especially touching one. And they're also two merry fellows, they managed to put in quite a bit of good humour!!!

After they first went off the stage they had no option but to give a short extra performance. We got to hear a mini-medley of "Stained Glass Windows" and "Road To Zion", before they ended it all with "We Need Jesus". The message is chrystal clear!

The audience played along all the time, and reacted with loud applause, silent concentration and laugh, depending on the situation. And I believe every single one was affected by this concert one way or another. Either through the music, the texts, testimonies, or simply just by the good mood.

People of all ages rushes into the church.

About half-way they share their testimonies and play some calm songs.

Bob is allowed to have the stage for himself a little when they rock it up again.

The audience loves it, and gives standing applause!
